Rooted Kinections Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that aims to connect and empower siblings who have been impacted by separation due to out of home placement. Rooted Kinections signature event is a week long overnight summer camp where siblings create positive memories together and strengthen a community of belonging. We strive on providing trauma-informed care to youth and our community.
Our SibsKinect programs provide siblings with year-round opportunities to strengthen their sibling connection. Events are held throughout various counties in eastern PA and southern NJ. Events are typically day-long events where siblings come together to participate in activities ranging from bowling or roller skating parties to outings to family holiday and birthday celebrations. Other activities may include playing games, making sibling gifts, and eating meals together. Most importantly though, these events offer sisters and brothers, who don’t live together, opportunities to connect in a safe environment. Kids learn that the sibling relationship is a viable family bond.
